No Muffin Left Behind

Nobody’s Perfect and that includes your friends at Main Street Gourmet.

It has been referred to as Main Street’s Yard Sale, the worlds largest lemonade stand and probably some things we shouldn’t print. It is “No Muffin Left Behind”, Main Street Gourmet’s semi-annual bakery outlet sale.

Twice a year since 2004, we have offered up to the public our overstock, discontinued and imperfect products for a low price and shared the proceeds with a local charity. Our past beneficiaries have included:

• Akron Canton Regional Food Bank
• Muffins for Mammograms
• C.A.S.A.
• Stewart’s Caring Place
• United Way of Summit County
• Summit County Animal Shelter
• The International Institute of Akron
• Special Olympics Speed Skater and Main Street Gourmet Employee, John Callaway

The tradition continues. This Fall, we are taking the show on the road as we move the event to the larger, friendly confines of the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank’s new facility. We are very excited about the new partnership with an organization that Main Street Gourmet has long supported.

Join us on Saturday, October 18 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for the next sale. Our products will be priced at just $1.25 per pound and will include cookie dough, muffins and brownies. Most of these “products left behind” are merely too large, too small, a little over-done or a little under-done and cannot be sent to out customers. They may not be perfect, but they are perfectly delicious and they deserve a home just like our other great products. A portion of the sale’s proceeds will benefit the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank.
